Of course! Both guitars have been used and will continue to be used.

You
underlined a couple of times, how the songs on the albums are not
randomly arranged, but telling a chronological story or aiming at a
bigger theme. Keeping that in mind, have you considered any changes for
your usual live shows, to strengthen this element for record number
three on stage? Like a more theatrical- or storyline-concept as a
central theme, which could take the audience through the performance?

One simple answer, a resounding YES!

Are
you open to the possibility, of giving some of the talented musicians
among your fan base (some of them even regulars on this board) the
chance to play the opening band for you at one show?

We have always been open to that and have done so in the past in the States.

What
is the new album’s theme? You had a space theme for your first album
and life issues for A Beautiful Lie. Will the next one continue in the
footsteps of ABL or go in a totally new direction?

This
album has really opened us up to many new possibilities and we are
talking about many things. Mostly inspired by the world surrounding us
while creating this record.

Will there be a special or limited edition of the new album?

We have some plans for some unique packaging and limited edition bonus content.

Do
you think that there is an essential message that 30stm has transmitted
since the creation of the first album? If so, do you think it has
evolved into something different?

We have always believed
from the beginning in having an open mind, to think for yourselves, to
take risks, to challenge one self, to learn, to experience life and
what it has to offer…

Will there be a return of "missions" for the echelon with the coming of a new album?

The Glyphics mission is the first. Please continue to post your pics.

Do
you think all the Echelon traditions regarding the tours such as code
colors and home made 30 STM gear are still cool, or do you think it is
time for a change?

Important question. It is time for a
change. We must continue to move forward and evolve in all respects.
Presentation and identity included. The color RED is important for many
reasons and will remain so. It is the color of passion, the color of
blood, the color of MARS. It should be left on the MARS flag, TRINITY
seal, MITHRA seal and TYRE - (the arrow) ONLY from here on out. For
this next phase BLACK attire will be the foundation and the canvas to
build upon. This is war. White dress is for special occasions and
should be ALL WHITE NO RED on any clothing at all. It should be kept
special and limited to the previously mentioned symbols and icons.
Please encourage everyone to join in this experiment. It will be a

How far do you think you are from reaching your personal goals as members of 30 STM?

As
long as we keep expressing ourselves musically and visually and sharing
the experience with others, then our goals are constantly being met.

Yes
we will release it one day soon. We are currently at work on a film
focused more on the time and circumstances during "THIS IS WAR".

there ever been a song written that has moved you so much you wish you
had written it yourself? Or one that has inspired you to write a song
of your own just because it of it's influence, either lyrically or
musically?

We don't really wish we had written others songs, but lots of artists have inspired us. From Sigur Ros to Radiohead to The Cure.

of us are wondering why the War theme is so important to you guys. Can
you tell us why it is so important and what is the message behind it?

Mostly
the use of war is a metaphor that represents for us the failure of
achievement, of communication, or compromise. Battle, conflict, and
dissent have been important elements worthy of examination but as
important are joy, celebration, and good ol' optimism.

YES. The symbol for air also represents for me matters of the spirit. Faith is an important theme explored in this album.

Ça commence par l'étincelle de la découverte. Un rêve. Puis beaucoup de travail difficile pour explorer et expérimenter. Pas de règles. A chaque chanson son propre voyage. Et parfois une chambre pour s'isoler au besoin. -J

Tu as souligné deux fois, que les chansons de l'album ne sont pas arrangées au hasard, mais qu'elle racontent une histoire chronologique ou visent un plus grand thème. Ayant ça à l'esprit, as-tu considéré des changements pour les lives abituels, afin de renforcer cet élément pour le troisième album sur scène ?Plus comme un concept théatral -ou une histoire- en tant que thème central qui pourrait prendre le public tout le long de la performance ?

Une simple réponse, un OUI retentissant!

Es-tu ouvert à la possibilité de donner la chance à des musiciens talentueux dans votre fanbase (quelques uns sont de réguliers sur ce boeard) de jouer en première partie d'un concert ?

Nous avons toujours été ouverts à ça et l'avons déjà fait auparavant aux States.

Quel est le thème du nouvel album ?Vous aviez le thème spatial pour le premier, les préoccupations de la vie sur A Beautiful Lie. Le prochain continuera dans les pas d'ABL ou ira t-il dans une toute autre direction ?

Cet album nous a vraiment ouvert sur de nombreuses et nouvelles possibilités et nous parlons de beaucoup de choses. Essentiellement inspiré par le monde qui nous entoure lors de la création de cet album.

Y aura t-il une édition spéciale ou limitée pour le nouvel album ?

Nous avons des plans pour un packaging unique et un contenu bonus en édition limitée.

Pensez-vous qu'il y a un message essentiel que 30stm a transmis depuis la création du premier album ? Si ou, pensez-vous qu'il a évolué en quelque chose de différent ?

Nous avons toujours crû depuis le début en le fait d'avoir un esprit ouvert, de penser par soi-même, de prendre des risques, de se défier, d'apprendre, d'expérimenter la vie et ce qu'elle a à offrir...

Pensez-vous que les traditions de l'Echelon pendant les tournées telles que le code des couleurs et le matériel 30stm fait soi même sont ils toujours cool, ou pensez-vous qu'il est temps de changer ?

Question importante. Le temps du changement est arrivé. Nous devons continuer d'aller de l'avant et d'évoluer en tous respects. Les présentation et l'identité inclues. La couleur ROUGE est importante pour diverses raisons et le restera ainsi. C'est la couleur de la passion, la couleur du sang, la couleur de MARS. Ça doit rester sur les drapeaux de MARS, le sceau de la TRINITY, le sceau de la MITHRA et TYRE - (la flèche) SEULEMENT. Pour la prochaine phase, le vêtement NOIR sera la base et la toile sur laquelle on construira. C'est la guerre. Les vêtements blancs sont pour les occasions spéciales et devront être TOUT BLANC SANS ROUGE sur tout habit. Ça devrait être gardé spécialement et limitativement aux symboles et icônes précités. Selon vous, êtes vous encore loin d'atteindre vos buts personnels en tant que membres de 30 STM?

Aussi longtemps que nous nous exprimons musicalement et visuellement et quen ous partageons cette expérience avec autrui alors nos buts sont constamment atteints.

Que sont devenues les idées que nous vous avons envoyées pour avis ?

Nous les avons toutes lues et nous en utiliserons autant possible dans le futur. Continuez de les envoyer !

Beaucoup d'entre nous se demandent pourquoi le thème de la Guerre est si importante pour vous. Pouvez vous nous dire pourquoi c'est si important et quel est le message qui se cache derrière ?

L'utilisation de la guerre est surtout une métaphore qui représente pour nous l'échec de l'achvèement, de la communication, ou du compromis. La bataille, le conflit et la dissension ont été des éléments importants qui valent la peine d'être examinés mais sont aussi importants que la joie, la célébration et le bon vieil optimisme.

L'histoire derrière/l'explication du logo http://thisiswar.us/, un lien quelconque avec le symbole de l'AIR de Platon ?

Oui. Le symbole de l'air représente pour moi les préoccupations de l'esprit. La foi est un thème important qui est exploré dans cet album.

Nous ressentons tous de l'excitation et de l'urgence, un peu comme le sentiment que vous avez juste avant un combat.

Une question à Tomo et Jared : Avez-vous déjà utilisé la méthode du picking ou du "clawhammer" comme Donovan, quand vous jouez de la guitare ?
Oui, on utilise aussi la technique du crabe et la griffe du corbeau qui est une ancienne technique qui consiste à pincer les cordes de la guitare avec les orteils.

Selon vous, qu'est-ce qui est le plus important dans l'industrie de la musique de nos jours : un son unique, de bonnes paroles, rassembler des gens concernées afin de créer un sentiment de communauté et d'unité ou attirer les adolescents, ou rien de tout ça ?
Probablement un peu de tout ça. On se concentre sur le fait de jouer et de créer de la musique et des sons qui nous rendent heureux. Vous devez croire en ce que vous créez et jouez si d'autres y croient aussi.

Selon vous, qu'est-ce qui est mauvais dans l'industrie de la musique de nos jours ? Et pourquoi est-ce devenu ainsi ?
L'industrie de la musique est une affaire qui regarde les labels. Nous faisons de la musique et la musique n'a jamais été aussi excitante.

[b]Qu'est-ce qui est bien dans l'industrie de la musique pour vous ?
Elle nous donne l'opportunité de partager notre expérience avec nos famille et amis partout dans le monde.

Quels sont les groupes que vous écoutez en ce moment ?

Pensez-vous que l'internet tue la "star vidéo" ou en créé de nouvelles ?Quelles sont vos réflexions sur le pouvoir d'internet et pensez-vous que c'est une source puissante pour de nouveaux projets, de nouvelles expériences et de la nouvelle musique ? Ou cela tue toutes opportunités de projets créatifs valides ?
Internet est un outil réel qui peut être utilisé de manière très créative par les gens afin de faire connaître leur art ou tout ce qu'ils ont à offrir à un large public.

Avez-vous déjà remis en question votre propre musique ? Avez-vous déjà pensé qu'elle n'était pas assez bonne et que vous vouliez tout laisser tomber et recommencer à faire tout autre chose ?
On fait ça à peu près 1000 fois par jour.

Quelle est votre définition du succès ?
Êtes-vous heureux ? Si la réponse est oui, alors c'est un succès.

Même avec votre popularité grandissante ces deux dernières années, vous essayez toujours et réussissez à donner du temps aux fans, même en dehors des sessions d'autographes et des rencontres formelles. C'est évident que vous n'avez pas à le faire, alors qu'est-ce qui vous donne envie de côtoyer vos fans de manière plus décontractée ?
Parce qu'on vous aime et qu'on aime vous parler et écouter ce que vous pensez !

Les chansons ne sont jamais finies, on ne fait que les abandonner.
